Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with account managers to identify customer needs and propose technical solutions that align with business goals.
  • Conduct training and product demonstrations to Extreme employees, customers and partners.
  • Participate and deliver technical assessments, proof-of-concept deployments, and architectural workshops for prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, partners, and internal stakeholders to support regional revenue goals and extend market reach
  • Build strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at customer organizations.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
  • Provide pre-sales technical support for RFPs, RFIs, and solution proposals.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and product/engineering teams to provide feedback and ensure solution alignment.

For the Customer Demo Lab:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Extreme Networks hardware and software
  • Design and maintain layer 2/3 topologies, including VLANs, routing, and IPv6 configurations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot lab network performance and stability.
  • Maintain lab documentation (topology diagrams, IP plans, configurations).
  • Support automated testing frameworks and integrate network infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines where applicable
  • Collaborate with product, QA, and development teams to support feature validation and integration testing.
  • Configure and maintain network services in the lab (e.g., DHCP, DNS, NTP, syslog).
  • Implement and manage firmware upgrades and backup configurations across test equipment.
  • Manage physical cabling and racking of devices; ensure proper labeling and cable management.
  • Track hardware inventory, licensing, and lab resource allocation.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or network consulting.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, switching/routing, wireless LAN, and/or cloud-managed networks.
  • Good understanding of the Network Industry Landscape
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding of cloud-managed networking platforms and integration with security and automation workflows.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with CLI, SNMP, and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Experience with network simulation and testing tools
  • Comfortable with both physical and virtual network environments.
  • Vendor certifications that demonstrate expertise in networking, wireless technologies, access control and cloud are highly preferred
  • Experience as a Network Engineer or Lab Engineer in a technical environment.
