Key Responsibilities
- The Business Development specialist is primarily responsible for establishing initial contact with high-value prospects and qualifying new opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline:
- Proactively research and identify new target accounts and key contacts within the financial services and institutional sectors.
- Execute high-volume outbound activities (calls, emails, social outreach) to strategically engage potential clients.
- Personalize outreach using market intelligence and industry trends to articulate Symphony's specific value proposition.
- Conduct initial discovery and qualification calls to assess fit and readiness based on established sales criteria
- Consistently meet or exceed targets for qualified opportunity generation.
- Clearly articulate Symphony's compliant communication and collaboration solutions to senior-level decision-makers.
- Maintain a disciplined and accurate record of all prospecting activities and pipeline status
- Successfully hand off qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Executives for further development and closure.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to support and execute targeted outbound campaigns and initiatives.
- Stay current on the competitive landscape and client pain points to effectively position Symphony in the market.
Required
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Business Development Representative (BDR), Sales Development Representative (SDR), or equivalent outbound sales role, preferably within Fintech or Enterprise SaaS.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly targets for qualified opportunity generation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage and persuade senior-level decision-makers.
- Strong self-starter with a high degree of motivation, resilience, and a competitive drive.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools (e.g. LinkedIn, SalesLoft, Outreach).
Preferred
- Specific knowledge of capital markets workflows or experience selling collaboration, security, or compliance solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related technical field.
- Experience navigating and prospecting into large, complex financial institutions.
Compensation
- Base Salary Range $100,000-120,000
- Sales Commission Plan
