Internship at a Glance
- Location: Immerse yourself in our innovative culture! This role requires a commitment of 4 days in-office per week at our facility in Garden Grove, CA as well as full-time hours (40 hours a week).
- Duration: 10-11 weeks (May 26 to August 7 OR June 22 to August 28)
- Relocation Support: A $1,000 relocation stipend is available for interns currently residing more than 50 miles from Garden Grove, CA.
- Compensation: Earn an hourly rate of $25-35 USD per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as production, design, and supply chain) to identify and solve quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality-related problems.
- Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including test reports, control plans, and inspection procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality.
- Monitor production processes and implement quality control measures to ensure product conformity.
- Support the Supplier Quality Engineering team in evaluating and auditing supplier processes to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Assist in the inspection, testing, and quality validation of incoming materials and components from suppliers.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues by participating in the root cause analysis and resolution of non-conformances, working with cross-functional teams to drive improvement actions.
- Help manage and maintain quality documentation, such as inspection plans, audit results, and supplier certifications.
- Support quality training and awareness initiatives across the organization.
Required Skills
- Work authorized in the United States OR ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or a related field).
- Basic understanding of quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, 8D problem-solving).
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
