SDK Development & Maintenance
- Maintain and enhance the Software Development Kit (SDK) for Litmus Edge, ensuring compatibility with new platform features and updates.
- Provide Long-Term Support (LTS) and manage versioning for each supported programming language.
- Expand SDK coverage to additional languages, including GoLang, JavaScript, and Java, ensuring ease of use and efficiency.
- Develop new abstractions and use cases to improve SDK extensibility and flexibility for developers.
Developer Support & Community Engagement
- Monitor and respond to GitHub issues and bug reports from public SDK repositories, addressing developer concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with open-source contributors and enterprise customers to incorporate feature requests and improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, tutorials, and sample projects to help developers integrate Litmus Edge SDK seamlessly.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Maintain and expand automated test suites to ensure SDK reliability and expected behavior across multiple platforms.
- Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes for SDK releases, ensuring smooth updates and backward compatibility.
- Conduct code reviews and performance optimizations to enhance SDK efficiency and stability.
Innovation & Expansion
- Research and implement best practices in SDK development, ensuring high performance, security, and usability.
- Explore new developer tooling, libraries, and frameworks that can improve SDK design and developer experience.
- Collaborate with the core engineering team to align SDK improvements with the overall Litmus Edge roadmap.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Python programming language.
- Experience in multiple programming languages, including GoLang, JavaScript, and Java.
- Experience with API development and SDKs, particularly in industrial IoT, edge computing, or cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of GitHub workflows and actions, version control, and open-source contribution best practices.
- Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Familiarity with other IIoT communication protocols is a plus.
- Basic familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
Soft Skills & Experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of SDK development and maintenance.
- Experience working with developer communities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and developer support.
