The Academic Renewals Specialist Intern is responsible for providing support to the Academic Sales Team in three primary areas:
- Account Management
- Renewal Opportunity Management
- Administrative Support
- Candidates Should expect the following:

The Role:
- Account Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on assigned accounts, including address information, License Coordinator contact information
- Contact end users if a license is cancelled to uncover the reason(s) why and if we can offer them another product
- Opportunity Management
- Proactively engage with customers to drive timely renewals.
- Understand customer needs and identify if other solutions would work for the customer & turn over to Sales Rep to prospect for new business
- Keep renewal pipeline up to date including moving renewals to Stage 5
- Contact customers to get PO or reference # and for invoiced renewals
- Solicit 3-year prepaid renewals
- Create quotes on a case by case basis as customers request
- Notify Renewals & Sales Rep of any cancellations
- Notify Renewals & Sales Rep of any early invoices
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Comply with Minitab policies around cybersecurity, contracts, and personnel practices.
- Update CRM data in line with Minitab’s Customer Engagement Lifecycle (CEL).
- Be involved in resolving customer issues related to billing and invoicing.
The Candidate:
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and initiative to work effectively both independently and on a team.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language
- MUST be available to work onsite at our Minitab Corporate Headquarters in State College, PA.
Remote work is not an option for this position.
