What You'll Do

  • Review, redline, and negotiate vendor contracts (buy-side contracts)
  • Respond to contract review requests, consult directly with internal business partners to define contract requirements, verify details and provide advice as needed
  • Respond to inquiries regarding internal procurement processes and contract interpretation
  • Document buy-side contract metadata to enable contract management
  • Use electronic signing platform to send contracts for signature
  • Work with the legal team and internal clients to define requirements for buy-side agreements, and develop playbooks, templates, and other resources
  • Coordinate with the finance team and other stakeholders
  • Other ad hoc special assignments

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited law school and member in good standing of an applicable state bar or professional organization
  • Experience in-house at a tech company, law firm, life sciences, or similar fast-paced environment
  • 2+ years transactional experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating agreements
  • Core competencies include technology agreements, domestic privacy law and GDPR, commercial leases and construction agreements
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Strong aptitude towards drafting accurate documents, emails, and written materials, while still being concise and digestible for non-lawyers. Attention to detail is a must
  • Proficient using MS Word including document editing, redlining and comparison functions as well as Adobe and G-Suite tools
  • Ability to bring positive energy, agility and humility to a wide variety of tasks and bring a high-quality customer service approach to responsibilities

Nice to Have

  • Experience with international transactions and agreements
  • Completion of CLE focused on contract drafting and/or privacy law
  • Completion of CLE focused on AI terms in contracting/AI risk governance, or relevant experience
  • Experience with Freshservice or similar help desk intake/management tools
  • Experience with B2B advertising contracts, hotel and venue agreements, and financial services agreements (audit/tax)

Compensation

  • Base pay: $90,000 - $120,000
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
