Things You’ll Do

  • Proactively hunt new business opportunities with local governments across assigned territories.
  • Manage and expand relationships within 10-15 current accounts, focusing on cities and counties segmented by state.
  • Navigate contract negotiations and multi-stakeholder decision processes with transparency and honesty.
  • Partner closely with internal teams including Professional Services and Subject Matter Experts to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
  • Maintain expert understanding of Qualtrics’ Experience Management platform and competitive landscape to shape winning proposals.
  • Deliver consistent quota attainment by balancing a rigorous hunting approach with strategic account development.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • Demonstrated resilience and proactive drive in a SaaS sales or account management role.
  • Experience selling into local government or similarly structured public sector organizations is preferred.
  • History of hunting new business and maintaining a robust pipeline with a tactical, volume-driven approach.
  • Familiarity with longer sales cycles (6-9 months) and typical deal sizes roughly $15k-$30k or larger.
  • Skilled at navigating complex procurement processes, contract negotiations, and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems like Salesforce.com and sales methodologies such as MEDDIC.
