RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and drive reliability strategy across New Product Introduction (NPI), Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT), and Continuous Improvement (CI) programs
  • Define and execute robust reliability plans, including risk assessments, test protocols, data analysis, and decision-making for key program milestones
  • Translate test data into actionable insights, such as AFR estimations, and collaborate with product, design, quality, manufacturing and supply chain teams to inform product and release decisions
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for field and test failures, continuously improving product design and supplier maturity
  • Standardize reliability protocols and partner with global suppliers and testing labs to ensure consistency, data integrity, and high reliability standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across geographies and teams, serving as a technical authority on reliability considerations for new designs, materials, and manufacturing processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Reliability Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in reliability engineering, ideally within consumer electronics or wearables
  • Deep understanding of hardware reliability principles across electro-mechanical components, plastics, metals, and assemblies
  • Experience designing and executing HALT, HASS, accelerated life testing, and other reliability methodologies
  • Strong skills in statistical analysis, reliability modeling, and root cause analysis
  • Demonstrated success working with suppliers and test partners globally, including in Asia and Mexico
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their impact on product reliability
  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions
  • Experience working with wearable technologies or consumer hardware products
  • Familiarity with reliability standards, regulatory compliance, and product safety requirements
  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification
