Your Role
- Own the design, balancing, and long-term health of core gameplay systems, progression, economy, and LiveOps features.
- Conceptualize, prototype, and iterate on new mechanics aligned with product vision and business goals.
- Balance progression curves, rewards, and monetization loops using player insights, telemetry, and data-driven feedback.
- Identify friction points, drop-offs, and systemic issues, delivering clear and actionable design solutions.
- Create and maintain high-quality GDDs, feature specifications, and balancing documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, Art, QA, Product, and Monetization to deliver cohesive player experiences.
- Drive end-to-end feature ownership—from concept and playtesting through launch, post-release optimization, and mentoring junior designers.
Must Have
- 6+ years of game design experience, preferably in mobile F2P or live service environments.
- Strong systems design expertise, including progression systems, in-game economies, LiveOps frameworks, and balancing.
- Proven ability to design, ship, and optimize complex features within a live game environment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, UX, Art, and Analytics.
- Excellent documentation skills, capable of creating clear, structured, implementation-ready design specifications.
- Strong analytical mindset with structured problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to translate complex backend systems into intuitive, player-facing experiences.
- Experience mentoring junior or mid-level designers and contributing to overall team craft.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with focus on quality, clarity, scalability, and long-term product impact.
Good to Have
- Educational background in Game Design or related field.
- Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Hands-on balancing experience in combat-driven or competitive systems.
- Experience designing LiveOps events, seasonal content, or battle-pass frameworks.
- Exposure to A/B testing and KPI-driven feature validation.
