What we do
- We implement high-throughput data pipelines using Kafka and Java.
- We build the world's prettiest and most intuitive user interfaces using React, Typescript, and other OSS libraries.
- We use a variety of other Open Source technologies including MySQL, Redis, RocksDB, InfluxDB, and more.
- We write reusable, efficient, and highly concurrent code. We are proud of the technology we build but we are not dogmatic about our techniques.
- We frequently re-evaluate our decisions and proactively make improvements to avoid last-minute chaos.
What you’ll be doing
- Architect efficient and reusable front-end components that drive complex web applications.
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, Marketers, and fellow engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products.
- Understand the user journey and behavior to build and deliver an awe-inspiring user experience.
- Be well versed with the full tech stack, and be able to understand, debug and deliver right design decisions.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues with an increasingly complex enterprise product.
- Actively participate in design & code reviews to build robust applications and features.
- Exhibit ownership and leadership skills required to become an indispensable part of the engineering team and culture.
Key Requirements
- 2+ years of Javascript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, OOP, type and ES6.
- 2+ years of experience in HTML and CSS, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and accessibility.
- Ability to create well-abstracted, reusable UI components.
- A keen eye for producing clean, semantic markup.
- Deep understanding of complete web stack, web protocols, and web performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with end to end and unit testing methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of at least one major Javascript framework/library: React.js, VueJS.
- Experience with at least once CSS preprocessor: Sass, Less, Stylus, etc.
